Remaker AI review: the free face swap tested with no account, the credits, and the checkout that takes no cards

What Remaker AI is

Remaker AI (remaker.ai, also typed as “Remarker AI”) is a website, not an app, with a long list of AI photo and video tools behind one credit balance. The tool everyone arrives for is the photo face swap. Around it sit a video and GIF face swap, a multi-face and batch swap, an AI image generator, headshot, avatar, sticker and tattoo generators, an upscaler, background and object removers, a watermark remover, image-to-video, a talking-photo tool and a video enhancer. The homepage says it was named a top-50 generative AI web product by a16z.

Who runs it is less clear. The footer says only “Copyright 2026 Remaker AI”, and neither the terms nor the privacy policy name a company, an address or a country. Several reviews and third-party app listings name a Singapore company, ZINGDECK INTL PTE. LTD.; we could not confirm that from anything Remaker publishes itself, so we are not repeating it as fact.

One thing Remaker is not is a text-to-image benchmark leader. It has an image generator, but if making pictures from a written prompt is what you want, our ten-generator benchmark is the right page, not this one.

Remaker AI face swap, tested with no account

The face swap page is titled “Face Swap Online Free” and promises “No sign up, no watermark.” We took that literally: a fresh browser, no login, no cookies from a previous visit.

The layout is two upload boxes. Upload Original Image is the scene, the photo whose face you want replaced (“Retain areas outside of the face”). Upload Target face is the face you want put in. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP and BMP. Below them is a Model Version switch, v1 or v2, with v2 selected by default and described on the page as “Faster & more realistic, better with face obstructions. May be unstable - use v1 if it fails.” An orange note says the single-face tool “Only works with single-face images” and points group photos to Multi-Face Swap.

For the scene we used the fisherman portrait Krea generated in our benchmark, so no real person’s photo was uploaded as a target. For the face we used the author’s own, taken from the AI-made 90s portrait on our 90s photo prompts page.

How good is it? Technically clean. There is no seam at the hairline or jaw, the window light falls on the new face the way it fell on the old one, and the skin texture matches the scene’s photographic grain. You can see the source in the result: the nose, the brows, the eye shape and the skin tone are his.

What it does not do is carry over the person. Like every face swap, it replaces the inner face and keeps everything else from the scene, so the result has the fisherman’s grey hair, white stubble and lined forehead. The output reads as a man in his fifties who resembles the author, not as the twenty-something in the source photo. If you want the swap to look like a specific person, choose a scene whose subject is already close in age, hair and build. If you want a photo of yourself in a new setting, a swap is the wrong tool; the prompt pages linked under alternatives below do that with your whole head intact.

Two swaps, then the login wall

The second swap ran the same way. The third did not. Instead of a result, the page said “You have run out of times, logging in can earn more times” and opened a login box.

So the honest version of “no sign up” is: no sign-up for two swaps. We ran the test from a single connection, so we cannot say whether the allowance resets daily or is tied to your IP address or browser. What is clear is that anyone who wants a third swap is signing in with Google, or with whatever sits behind the “Other Login Method” link.

Free credits: 30 at sign-in, then 5 to 10 a day

The pink Free Credits button in the header spells out the whole free economy, and it is worth reading before you plan on using Remaker regularly.

Put together, a diligent free user gets 30 credits once, then roughly 5 to 10 a day plus 10 a week, none of it bankable. Whether that is enough depends on what the tools cost, which is the next table.

What every Remaker AI tool costs in credits

The pricing page lists a per-tool credit cost behind a “See All” toggle. Here is the full list as it read on 27 September 2026.

Two things stand out. First, the photo face swap, the tool the site is known for, is not on the list, and the swap page shows no credit price before you press Generate; our two free swaps were counted as “times”, not credits. The only face-swap price Remaker publishes is for video: 1 credit per second. Second, most image tools cost a single credit, so the 30 sign-in credits go a long way on upscaling and background removal, and nowhere near as far on headshots at 4 credits an image or image-to-video at 15 a go.

Video face swap is for paying users only

The video face swap page carries a notice that settles the “is video free” question: “Sorry, to ensure generation speed, video face swap is exclusive to VIP users. Purchase any credits can become VIP permanently.” VIP is not a tier you subscribe to; it is what any one-time purchase, even the $5.99 pack, makes your account.

Once you are VIP, video costs 1 credit per second, with a stated limit of 500 MB and 30 minutes per file, and the page says it accepts MP4, AVI, MOV and GIF or WebP. At that rate the 530-credit pack covers just under nine minutes of swapped video. We did not buy credits, so we have not tested the video tool and are not scoring it.

Pricing: one-time packs, and no card payments

Remaker does not sell subscriptions. You buy a pack of credits once, they never expire, and you buy again when they run out.

Prices are in US dollars only; there is no rupee pricing. Every pack also earns 10% “Bonus Credits”, but read the small print: they are not added to your balance now. They wait for your next purchase, must be claimed within 30 days, cannot exceed the size of that next purchase, and expire otherwise. It is a loyalty hook, not a discount.

Now the part that matters most for readers in India, and that we have not seen in any other review:

The two payment buttons are Card via Telegram and Crypto. The FAQ underneath is blunter: “We currently support Crypto and Telegram payments only. Card payments are not supported and won’t be available in the near future.” “Card via Telegram” means paying inside the Telegram app with Telegram Stars, not entering a card on remaker.ai. There is no UPI, no PayPal, no Google Pay. If you do not use Telegram or hold crypto, you cannot buy credits at all.

Refunds follow from that. The pricing FAQ says payments “made via Crypto and Telegram Stars are non-refundable” and offers only to compensate wasted credits after an abnormal generation. The terms and conditions, meanwhile, describe a refund policy for a first purchase with no more than 50 credits used and a request within three days. Those two documents do not agree with each other; assume the stricter one, and treat any purchase as final.

Is there a Remaker AI app or APK?

A lot of people search for a Remaker AI app download or APK. Remaker’s answer is a dedicated notice page, and it is unambiguous.

In Remaker’s words: “Remaker AI does not currently have an official app”, apps in app stores claiming to be Remaker AI “are not authorized by us and may pose security risks”, and “We strongly advise against downloading any such apps or APKs.” Listings called Remaker do exist in the app stores. When we checked Google India for “remaker ai” on 27 September 2026, the second result was a Play Store app called “Remaker AI Face Swap Photo App” from a developer named Creativity AI, with ads and in-app purchases. By Remaker’s own notice it is not authorised, and we would not install it. The website itself works in a phone browser, and the face swap page says as much.

Is Remaker AI safe? What happens to your photos

Three different Remaker pages answer this, and they do not quite match.

• The tool itself says, next to the history panel: “The history can save a maximum of 80 generated results, and every image will be deleted after 1 days. Please download promptly.”
• The face swap page’s FAQ says uploads and results are “deleted within 48 hours”, but attributes this to a product called FaceVary, not Remaker. The request the page sends when you press Generate also goes to an endpoint named “ai-facevary”, so FaceVary appears to be the name of the face-swap engine, and the FAQ was written for it.
• The privacy policy says nothing about uploaded images at all: no retention period, no statement on whether uploads train models, no company name.

On use, the terms are clearer than the privacy policy: clause 11 says users “are strictly prohibited from generating, sharing, or using unlawful images or videos, including deepfakes” and that “likenesses of individuals cannot be utilized without proper consent.” That is the rule to follow whatever the tool allows. Swap your own face, or a friend’s with their permission, and download the result the same day rather than relying on the history panel.

Who Remaker AI is for, and who should skip it

It is a good choice if you want a quick, clean photo face swap with no watermark, you are happy to sign in with Google after the first two, and you either do not need to pay or are comfortable paying through Telegram or in crypto. The swap quality is among the cleaner ones we have seen at this price, which is to say free.

Look elsewhere if you need video face swap without paying, if you want to pay by card or UPI, if you need a written guarantee about what happens to your uploads, or if what you actually want is a picture of yourself in a different decade or setting, which a prompt does better than a swap.

Verdict

Remaker AI does the thing it is famous for well and, for two images, for nothing. The result we got was seamless, unwatermarked and downloadable with no account, which is more than most face-swap sites manage. After that the free tier is a daily-streak game with credits that die at midnight, and the paid tier is fairly priced but locked behind two payment methods most of its Indian audience does not use.

Use it for the free swaps. Sign in if you want the 30 credits. Before you plan to buy, open Telegram or your crypto wallet and decide whether that is a road you want to go down, because the pricing page says cards are not coming.
