The structural fine print echoes what we flagged in our getimg.ai review, because credit systems share failure modes: per-generation cost varies by model and settings, so a plan’s headline credit number does not translate to a fixed number of images, and video burns credits an order of magnitude faster than stills.
Where Dreamina is genuinely strong
- Video is the headline, and it is real. Seedance is one of the most capable video model families in the world right now, and 30-second cinematic generation on a consumer app is something almost no competitor offers at this price.
- Its own frontier models. Dreamina is not a pure reseller — Seedream and Seedance are ByteDance’s, so free daily access to them is a genuine gift rather than metered arbitrage.
- CapCut-adjacent workflow. If your output ends in a CapCut edit or on TikTok, generating inside the same ecosystem removes friction that standalone generators cannot.
