Getimg.ai started years ago as a Stable Diffusion front-end and has since rebuilt itself into something more ambitious: “one workspace” for audio-visual assets, aimed at teams. Under one subscription and one credit balance you get:
- Image generation across third-party models: Seedream, FLUX, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Grok Imagine and Qwen at the time of writing.
- Video generation across Kling, Seedance, Sora, Google Veo, Wan, MiniMax and others.
- Audio: ElevenLabs speech, music generation, sound effects.
- Utility tools: image and video upscaling, smart resizing, background removal, an image editor.
The pitch is that models are “always available, always auto-selected for the task at hand” — you describe what you want and getimg picks the engine. That is genuinely convenient, and genuinely important to understand: getimg.ai does not have a frontier image model of its own. The pixels come from OpenAI, Google, Black Forest Labs, ByteDance, Alibaba and xAI. What you are evaluating when you evaluate getimg is the wrapper: the price of access, and the workflow around it.
What we did and did not test
We have not run a hands-on test of getimg.ai’s workspace itself, and nothing here scores its interface. The free tier getimg no longer advertises
Most people searching for getimg.ai want a free image generator. Here is the current reality:
Getimg.ai’s pricing page, as of September 2026, does not mention a free plan at all — the listed plans start at ₹850/month. A free tier does still exist behind sign-up: around 100 credits per month, no card required, per current third-party reviews. The catch is what a credit buys. On older basic models 100 credits stretches to a meaningful number of images; on the frontier models people actually come for — GPT Image, Nano Banana, FLUX — credit costs per image are far higher, so the free allowance evaporates in a handful of generations.

All paid plans include commercial rights, the full model roster, upscaling, resizing and the audio tools. Three lines of fine print matter more than the table:
- Unused credits do not roll over. A quiet month is money spent on nothing.
- API credits are separate. The subscription covers the workspace; building on the API is an additional bill.
- Credit cost varies by model. The headline “3,000 credits” converts to very different image counts depending on which engine you pick, which makes plan-to-plan comparison shopping harder than it looks.

When the workspace is worth paying for
Saying “just use Gemini for free” is the right answer for most individuals, but it is not the whole answer. There are real reasons the aggregator model exists, and getimg executes them competently:
- One bill instead of six. ChatGPT Plus + Gemini Advanced + a Kling plan + ElevenLabs adds up fast. If your work genuinely spans image, video and audio models, ₹2,550–5,540/month for all of it in one place can undercut the sum of parts.
- Model switching in one interface. Run the same prompt on FLUX, Seedream and GPT Image side by side without juggling accounts. For anyone doing client work, that comparison loop matters.
- Team seats and shared credits. The free tiers of Gemini and ChatGPT are personal. Getimg’s Core plan and up are built for a small studio sharing one pool.
- Explicit commercial rights on every paid plan, in one consistent set of terms rather than six different vendors’ policies.
- Batch generation — 2 to 10 simultaneous generations depending on plan, which the consumer chat apps do not offer.
Where it falls short
- As a free generator, it barely exists anymore. The unadvertised ~100 credits are a trial, not a tier. Every tool in our free guide gives you more room.
- Credit opacity. Because each model burns credits at a different rate, “3,000 credits” is not a number you can plan around until you have used the product for a while. Aggregators do not have to be this opaque about it.
- No rollover, per seat. The pricing structure punishes uneven months, which is exactly what creative workloads look like.
- Auto-selection cuts both ways. “Always auto-selected for the task at hand” is great until you disagree with the selection and are paying frontier-model credit rates either way. Our benchmark exists precisely because the model choice changes the result by whole points out of ten on identical prompts.
- You inherit every upstream restriction. Content rules, style limitations and model quirks all pass through from the upstream providers — the wrapper cannot fix what the model will not do.

Getimg.ai is a legitimate product being found by the wrong audience. The tens of thousands of monthly searches for it skew heavily toward people wanting a free image generator, and on that brief it now underdelivers: the free tier is vestigial and unadvertised, and the models behind the paywall are the same ones Gemini and ChatGPT hand out free. But judged as what it actually is — a multi-model workspace for teams that need image, video and audio generation under one bill with commercial rights — it is a coherent, fairly priced offer.
